Ajeeb Daastaans: Jaideep Ahlawat, Konkona Sen Sharma, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Abhishek Banerjee and more come together for Karan Johar's next

Karan Johar's anthology movie, comprising four short films, earlier titled, The Other, has now been rechristened Ajeeb Daastaans. The anthology film is a part of KJo's sister company, Dharmatic, which peddles all his online content. Ajeeb Daastaans, is being made for Netflix, though the release date hasn't been finalised yet. The four Directors who'll be helming the short films are Shashank Khaitan, Raj Mehta, Neeraj Ghaywan and Kayoze Irani. Coming to the themes, it'e being said that each of the shorts would focus on showcasing completely different facets of of "the other" angle in relationships and their complexities. Moreover, the crux of each short movie would be on the "third person" in a relationship, the one who breaks or perhaps completes it.

Opening about Ajeeb Daastaans earlier, when it was labelled The Other, producer Karan Johar had said, "An anthology allows us to bring together diverse creative minds to showcase different facets of the same concept in a unique manner, and Netflix presents these beautifully. The Other is one such film that delves into the various complexities of human relationships. Each director will bring their unique vision to the table, amalgamating in a piece that many viewers across the world will definitely resonate with."

A stellar cast comprising distinguished as also exciting upcoming names such as Abhishek Banerjee, Aditi Rao Hydari, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Inayat Verma, Jaideep Ahlawat, Konkona Sen Sharma, Manav Kaul, Nushrratt Bharuccha and Shefali Shah will be seen spread across the fourt short films in Ajeeb Daastaan, slated for a Netflix release sometime this year.
