Varun Dhawan - Natasha Dalal wedding: No honeymoon for Bollywood's newlyweds?

So, the big celebrity news (other from movie announcements) doing the rounds these days in Bollywood is that of Varun Dhawan and longtime girlfriend Natasha Dalal tying the knot soon. In fact, reports suggest that a wedding date has been fixed, with the lovebirds are set to walk down the aisle on 24th January. Yup, that's right around the corner, and word is that invites have already been sent out to the who's who of the industry, including Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Salman Khan, Remo D'Souza, Shashank Khaitan, Shilpa Shetty, husband Raj Kundra, and Vashu Bhagnani. That being said, it's not going to be a grand affair in all likelihood, given the pandemic we're still living through, and the fact that Varun Dhawan, too, recently had a brush with COVID-19.

So, why the sudden rush to get hitched during the coronavirus pandemic of all times, when it wouldn't be the Varun Dhawan - Natasha Dalal wedding we'd have all expected, and especially after having waited all this time? Well, for starters, our sources tell us that the wedding was earlier planned to take place in November or December last year, but could not due to the pervasive menace of the COVID-19 pandemic. But now, with the threat having subsided to an extent, the couple and their families, too, are in no mood of waiting any longer, having already held on for so long.

Plus, nobody wishes to take a chance in case the pandemic situation worsens in the foreseeable future or the new strain mutates more dangerously. Apparently, invitations have been sent to around 50-60 Bollywood bigwigs and other prominent personalities from important walks of life, and they'll be joining the two families at a spacious Alibag farmhouse where the wedding festivities will take place over a couple of days. Not the lavish event we expected, but a lowkey, personal albeit happy quickie.

Now coming to the big question: Is there a honeymoon on the horizon for Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal? The unfortunate and likely answer is "NO", and the reason is not because they're playing it safe keeping health guidelines in mind. Our sources further reveal that Varun has got three projects, carrying huge buzz, including Jug Jugg Jeeyo produced by Karan Johar (his immediate next), Bhediya alongside Kriti Sanon, directed by Amar Kaushik of Stree Fame, and finally, the big one, Ekkis, with his Badlapur Director Sriram Raghavan. So, Varun wishes to dive headlong into his work and not delay any of the films, sticking to their schedules and ensuring they all release on time. Part of his zeal to do so also seems to stem from putting behind the debacle of Coolie No. 1 as soon as possible, but that's a story for another day.

For now, let us join the rest of the industry in whishing Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal the very best for their big day and future life ahead.
