Popular filmmaker of Bollywood, Ali Abbas Zafar, who helmed films like Bharat, Tiger Zinda Hai, Sultan, Gunday and others, shared the news of his wedding on Monday by dropping a pic, where we can see the hands of the couple. Now, the director has finally introduced his wife Alicia Zafar with a dreamy wedding pic, which is amazing and beautiful. Sharing the picture, Ali wrote, "1400 years ago Imam Ali said to Fatimah Al- Zahra's, all my worries and sadness disappears when I look at your face , I feel the same Alicia Zafar . Mine for life."
Speaking about his wife, Ali told Mid-Day, "She is from France, so the visas were initially posing a problem. As soon as she got the visa, we went to Dehradun and got married at home. It was always planned this way." He added, "She is a first-generation Iranian from France. I had gone there for work, and immediately fell in love with her. I pursued her for almost two years, convincing her that I am the man who will keep her happy. It has been a difficult task, but I am glad she finally agreed."
The filmmaker said that the honeymoon needs to wait as he is gearing up for his next project, "I plan to start shooting in Mumbai soon, and have back-to-back shoots lined up all year. It is one of the reasons we got married now. Also, since Europe went into a second lockdown, we had no idea whether we would get another clear window soon. So, we decided to make the most of this period."
On the professional front, Ali Abbas Zafar is gearing up for his OTT Tandav, which stars Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Sunil Grover, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Dino Morea Kumud Mishra, Gauahar Khan, Amyra Dastur, Mohd. Zeeshan Ayyub, Kritika Kamra, Sarah Jane Dias, Sandhya Mridul, Annup Sonii, Hitten Ttejwani, Paresh Pahuja and Shonali Nagrani in key roles.
