Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Bhavya Gandhi reveals he is in touch with onscreen mother Disha Vakani; says, 'We have video calls, and she gets shocked to see me in beard'

Popular TV actor Bhavya Gandhi, who garnered nationwide fame for his portrayal of Tipendra Gada aka Tappu in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, opened up about being in touch with his reel mother Disha Vakani after exiting from the popular show. Talking to E Times, Bhavya said that how Disha gets surprise when she sees him in beard. "We definitely have these video calls sometimes, and everytime, she sees me, she goes, 'Aahhh, whatt, beard?' (laughs) I say, yes, I've got a beard now. She has never seen me in a beard, so she gets shocked. I say, 'Haan, aave gaiyo' (Yes, they've grown) and I am growing them more," revealed Bhavya Gandhi.

The actor also said that he is in touch with his Tappu Sena and added, "I am in touch with everyone. I am doing films right now and the schedule is different than that of TV. So, I don't like disturbing them but they always know that Bhavya is around. If they need me for something, I am always here. I am doing a film, it will be like out of 12 months, 4 months I must be busy and rest of the months, I am just with the family, my friends, working on myself, learning new things."

Citing the reason of his exit from TMKOC, Bhavya asserted, "At a point in Taarak, I was just doing something, which was just monotonous." The actor earlier told TC that he misses his Taarak Mehta family and said, "I miss everyone on the set as we were more like family. I am in touch with Dilip (Joshi) sir, the director and assistant director of the show. I am also in touch with Asit (Modi) sir, Ambica (Ranjankar) didi, Samay (Shah) among others."
