Naagin 5: Arjit Taneja joins the Surbhi Chandna-Sharad Malhotra starrer; says, 'I consider it to be a great break'

Ekta Kapoor's Naagin 5 has been loved for its amazing twists and turns. The story of Adi Naagin, Naag, and Cheel is quite interesting and hence this season has good numbers on the TRP charts. Earlier, it was reported that Arjit Taneja would be joining Naagin 5. However, he had refuted the rumours back then. Now, it has been confirmed that he will be joining the Surbhi Chandna, Sharad Malhotra and Mohit Sehgal starrer. Arjit Taneja is known for his role as Purab in Kumkum Bhagya opposite Mrunal Thakur. He will be playing a pivotal cameo in the supernatural thriller and portray a character with grey shades. He spoke about being roped in for Naagin 5 in an interview with ETimes.

He said, "It feels amazing to be associated with a popular franchise like 'Naagin'. Even though it is a cameo, I consider it to be a great break, as I will get to explore the supernatural genre for the first time. I am also working in a show produced by Ekta Kapoor three years after I exited 'Kumkum Bhagya'. It feels like I am back home." Arjit Taneja shared that he is looking forward to entering a completely different world with Naagin 5.

He said, "It will be challenging because the technique to shoot a supernatural thriller is different from a daily soap. I will be commencing the shoot soon and will know how I adapt to it only then. But I am sure it will be fun. I have never joined a show midway and believe it will be a learning experience." Priyamvada Kant who was seen as Chandni has also entered the show recently. It surely would a treat to watch Arjit Taneja playing the negative character in Naagin 5.
