Drake & Future's Life Is Good, Dynamite by BTS and Badshah's Genda Phool top the most viewed video list of 2020. It's a rare feat for India to have a song made on its soil to go down as one of the most viewed songs of 2020. Rapper Badshah, who has been known for his iconic music across the country now, rises to international acclaim with his chartbuster, Genda Phool, starring Jacqueline Fernandez, bagging the fourth spot on the list of most-watched songs in the year by Spin or Bin Music, not to mention he has been positioned with artists such as Drake, Future, BTS and Blackpink.
Genda Phool and its several versions released in multiple languages have been resounding successes. While Badshah's foot-tapping party starter continues to garner astronomical views, it has now put Indian music on the global map. The other songs on the coveted list include Life Is Good by American rapper Future, featuring vocals from Canadian rapper Drake, Dynamite by BTS, How You Like That by Blackpink and Gooba by American rapper 6ix9ine. Earlier Badshah's Genda Phool topped the Global YouTube Music Video Charts for two weeks and gained international listeners.
The song is written and composed by Badshah, while the Bengali lyrics of the song were written by Ratan Kahar featuring playback singer Payal Dev. The music video for the song features Sri Lankan actress Jacqueline Fernandez and Badshah. Reacting to the exciting news, Badshah said, "The year has begun on a celebratory note with this milestone that I share with some of the most renowned artists of the world. As a musician, I try to experiment and see where the music takes me and I am glad that it has resulted in so many people being entertained globally. This achievement has refreshed the memories of making Genda Phool and I hope the spirit of celebration continues."
Well, congratulations, Badshah and Jacqueline Fernandez.
