Veteran actor Ravi Patwardhan, who has acted in over 200 films, has passed away at the age of 84 due to age-related issues. Sunil Bhosle, the producer of Patwardhan's TV show Agabai Sasubai confirmed the news and told Indian Express, "I had spoken to him just some fifteen days back because we had to start shooting for our show. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, we had made some changes in the story in a way that he was able to shoot from home. He was shooting till the very end. He died of age related health issues; he was 84 years old. In February he had two heart attacks, and he had recovered."

He added, "As he was shooting from home, I had told him that it would be great to see him back on sets in the post Covid-19 times. And he had said, 'i am not sure if that would happen'" Actor Ashok Saraf expressed his grief and told E Times, "We have worked together in many Bollywood and Marathi films. I always admire his sincerity toward the work. He was one of those actors who could portray any character. I was very attracted to his snarling voice. We have lost an exceptional actor. "
The actor's popular films include Ankush (Hindi), Ashya Asawya Suna (Marathi), Umbartha (Marathi), Tezaab (Hindi), and Jyotiba Phule (Marathi). He is survived by his wife, two children, daughter-in-law, daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. Born on 6 September, 1937, he had also acted in 150 plays. The actor was last seen in Agabai Sasubai, which is one of the hit shows on television.
