Actress Pooja Bedi has slammed an advertisement about an OTT platform featuring Dil Bechara actress Sanjana Sanghi for allegedly normalizing domestic violence against men. The concept hasn't gone down well the netizens along with Pooja Bedi who has also questioned, "What if a man was slapping a woman in this advertisement?"
In the advertisement, Sanjana's character can be seen aggressively slapping her supposed boyfriend 8 times to decide which movie they should on the OTT platform. The boy looks horrified while the girl enjoys the pleasure of slapping him. She continues to slap the boy until he shouts 'stop' at the 8th slap which makes her decide that they will watch the 8th show on the OTT platform.

This should NEVER CLEAR an advertising board! #men have rights! #domesticviolence," Pooja Bedi tweeted tagging Rekha Sharma (Chairperson, National Commission for Women), Union Minister Smriti Irani and a men's rights activist, Amit Deshpande.

The said ad was tweeted from Lionsgate Play's official Twitter handle with a caption that reads, "Are you going this crazy while picking what to watch? We have a solution for your confusion!"
Many people have also slammed the ad calling it sexist and alleged that it was promoting domestic violence against men.
Imagine the guy slapping the girl to decide which tv show to watch. Violence against men also is an offence!! @ascionline please take notice of this advertisement

After receiving severe backlash, the OTT platform removed the ad from their Twitter handle.
Previously, Pooja had stood up for men's rights after television actor and singer Karan Oberoi was arrested on charges of raping and blackmailing a woman. She had said the laws that exist to protect the voice of rape victims should be used in a responsible manner by women.
