Not many are aware that Arshad Warsi had hosted the first season of Bigg Boss way back in 2006, and had even won the Indian Television Academy Award for Best Anchor (Game / Quiz Show) for hosting the show. Salman Khan took over in 2010, and such has been his impact that the masses have long forgotten the impression left by previous hosts like Arshad or even Amitabh Bachchan for that matter. However, the impression of Bigg Boss has only grown season 13 garnered the most TRP of any BB season and Bigg Boss 14, too, has picked up pretty well after a lackluster start. Plus, the dramas and controversies have only become more dramatic and controversial with each season. So, when BollywoodLife sat down for an exclusive interview with Arshad Warsi, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to inquire whether the very first host of Bigg Boss has kept abreast with the subsequent seasons, or at least intermittently caught some of the episodes. However, he hasn't and here's why...
Opening up on why he never watched Bigg Boss after hosting the first season, Arshad Warsi said, "No, yaar, I don't watch (any of the episodes). I'm so sorry, but I don't. I'm not...I don't know...I just don't watch it...I don't watch much things, yaar. And I don't find it very interesting, to be honest. I guess, it's one of those that once you start watching it then you're stuck and glued onto it. But, I've never managed to start watching it, so, maybe, the day I start watching it, I'll be glued onto it."
When asked if you need to have a penchant for voyeurism to watch a show like Bigg Boss, Arshad agreed and added, "Yeah, exactly, I don't have that, yaar. I can't enjoy other people's misery and all that stuff."
