THIS famous director wants to cast Dhanush as Rajinikanth in a biopic made on the superstar's life

One of the biggest success stories in Indian cinema is Rajinikanth. Thalaivar is truly the biggest star in the country. His fans have been wanting a biopic on his life for a long time. Now, a Tamil director has expressed a desire to make a biopic on the life of the superstar, and wants none other than Dhanush as the lead hero in it. After all, few would be able to do as much justice to the role than an actor who knows him in and out. Filmmaker Lingusamy who is known for blockbusters like Vettai (2012), Sandakozhi 2 (2018) and Run (2002) has expressed a desire to make a film on the life of Rajinikanth and wants to work with Dhanush.

Fans of Rajinikanth got very excited on hearing this news. N Lingusamy has a great track record at the box-office and has been away from the arclights for more than two years now. The filmmaker made his debut with Aanandham that released in the early 2000's. It had superstar Mammootty in it. Over the years, he has established himself as someone who knows how to pack a script with right ingredients. Dhanush got married to Rajinikanth's daughter, Aishwaryaa in the year 2004. There were reports of them dating prior to that. It seems she was close to his sister.

The two have worked together in movies like Kaala and Kuselan in the past. Rajinikanth's last release was Darbar. The action flick made by AR Murugadoss did not get good reviews from the critics. Dhanush has a couple of films lined up including Atrangi Re. He is teaming up with Ranjhanaa maker Aanand L Rai for one more time. This statement of Lingusamy must have given lot of hopes to all fans of the two actors. Rajinikanth has also been busy with his political aspirations.
