Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the most loved TV shows in the country. While we love the bang on comic timing and camaraderie between Jethalal aka Dilip Joshi and Gokuldham society members, we can't deny the fact that we are missing the silly antics of our very own Dayaben aka Disha Vakani. While recently there were reports that makers are bringing the actress back in the show, it got delayed and the reason behind this is said to be COVID-19.
As per the Koimoi report, the actress might not come for the shoot till the COVID-19 vaccine arrives. A source close to the development told the entertainment portal, "Disha might not be returning to the show until a vaccine for Covid-19 is introduced. This is also because she has a toddler and wouldn't want to take any risk given the current situation."
Lead actor Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal recently did a YouTube podcast with Sorabh Pant in which the star gave his opinion on people demanding ban or end to the show. He said, "Many times on social media people say that they will ban Taarak Mehta.. and say that they will end the show. I'm like if you don't like the show, don't watch it. Why are you telling us to end it? So many people say a lot of things and if you listen to all of them, you won't be able to work." The actor added, "If you were doing the show around 20 years ago, you would be able to take the liberty and do humour. No, that is not the case. You have to now be very careful about people not getting offended. Thoda sa restriction toh definitely aa gaya hai. Now you can't work freely. Even to use old songs we have to now be careful and see if we have the rights first or if we can get the rights. If you can't, you have to let go of it."
