Yami Gautam celebrates her 32nd birthday today and the gorgeous actress is not aging at all. She entered the entertainment industry through a television show called, Chand Ke Paar Chalo. After doing a couple of TV shows, Yami bagged her first Bollywood film, Vicky Donor. The Shoojit Sircar directorial came out in 2012 and also starred Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead. It was a super hit and fans loved their fresh pairing and the movie a lot. A couple of years ago, Yami opened up on her father's reaction to her bagging the film. At the India Today Conclave South 2018, Yami had narrated how her father reacted upon knowing the subject of the film and we must say, Yami's father is one amazing man.
"That was a phase when I was auditioning in full swing. At that point of time, I also had the opportunity of a very conventional launch. I was absolutely on my own; every work that I was doing was my stepping stone. There was nobody there to back me," she said while adding that she did not know about the subject until the time she was finalised for the part. "When I auditioned for Vicky Donor, I asked the casting director, 'What is the film about?' And she just smiled. When I got the film, that is when I found out. I had to tell my parents. My father asked me what the film is about, and I just handed the script to him. When my parents read it, they said, 'This is so cool'," Yami said.
Isn't it cool? Yami and Ayushmann became popular faces after Vicky Donor. Post the success of the film, Yami was seen in films like Badlapur, Kaabil, Uri: The Surgical Strike to name a few. As of now, Yami had been shooting for Bhoot Police alongside Saif Ali Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Arjun Kapoor. On her special day, Yami sought blessings and visited a holy temple. Talking about the same in her post, Yami revealed, "My family & roots are the two things most dear to me ! Taking blessings from Mata Bajreshwari Devi, Kangra, on my birthday made a very special morning before making way to work ! Gratitude for this life filled with so much love & blessings from family & everyone around me. And apart from that so many people, fans whom we may never meet, but somewhere you guys are there to wish well & I always believe in the strength that blessings & positivity hold."
