Considering the safety measures in place by the government due to the continued COVID-19 threat, Shah Rukh Khan had requested his multitude of fans to not gather before his mansion, Mannat, on his birthday, as is wont every year. Accordingly, they were no fan meets, too, organised this year. While his scores of fan clubs the world over are no doubt disappointed by the break in tradition, they understand the need of the hour. What's more, it's given them a reason to concentrate their efforts to some noble causes in SRK's name on his special day, with some of them arranging for COVID kits to be distributed.
One of Shah Rukh Khan's biggest and arguably his most organised fan club, SRK Universe, which has groups the world over, has arranged for 5555 COVID kits to be distributed, marking the Baadshah of Bollywood's 55th birthday. Tweeting about the same, SRK Universe wrote: "Here are the Covid Kits prepared by us that we'll be distributing to those in need. We'll be distributing 5555 Covid kits which will include 5555 masks & sanitizers, and meals on the occasion of the 55th Birthday of King Khan #HappyBirthdaySRK ."
