Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani is celebrating 11 years of its release. The romantic comedy is special for fans for many reasons as apart from witnessing the mesmerising chemistry between the lead stars, the film turned out to be a commercial success and established Ranbir a bankable star. Apart from performances and direction, the film had one of the best music albums with songs like Tu Jaane Na, Prem Ki Naiyya, Tera Hone Laga Hoon and others. While we heaping praises on this film and RK's performance, you would surprise to know that Sanju star was not the first choice for the film.
Filmmkaer Rajkumar Santoshi first offered the role of Prem Shankar Sharma to Shahid Kapoor but the Kabir Singh star thought that the character is quite similar to Aditya Kashyap, which is played in Jab We Met, so he declined the offer and that's how RK bagged the lead role. Though Raj and Shahid later collaborated for Phata Poster Nikla Hero, which unfortunately turned out be a disappointing affair at the box office.
On the professional front, Ranbir Kapoor will be next seen in Brahmastra, which is scheduled to release on December 4. The film also stars Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia and Nagarjuna Akkineni, with a special cameo by Shah Rukh Khan. Made on a lavish budget, the film is the first part in a trilogy, and we are expecting to see the lead actor, Ranbir Kapoor, with some mind-boggling superpowers. Mouni Roy is playing the lead antagonist in Brahmastra. It will be a treat for her fans to watch the actress in an out-and-out negative avatar.
