'In my first movie, Barsaat, I broke my leg; I still have a rod in it,' recalls Bobby Deol as he completes 25 years in Bollywood [Exclusive]

"In my first movie, Barsaat, my last shot, my brother (Sunny Deol) wanted to make my introduction scene more interesting. So, we were in England and while shooting it, I broke my leg, I banged into another horse (for those who haven't seen Barsaat, Bobby entered, riding a horse), collided with another horse, and I just broke my leg. It was a pretty bad injury, I have a rod in my leg, I still have that rod in it, and it didn't even heal, so I had to do another surgery." Upon completing 25 glorious years in the film industry, BollywoodLife caught up for an exclusive interview with Bobby Deol to quiz him about his journey this far, and the actor was game for a fun trivia round.

From naming his favourite costar, revealing how young he was when he gave his first shot on a film set and disclosing how he still walks with a rod in his leg due to an injury sustained in his debut film, Barsaat, to citing the turning points in his career, naming who's responsible for his bulked-up physique in his second innings, recalling his most embarrassing moment at an award function and letting us in how he's always been too conscious to remove his shirt on screen, which is why his wife, Tanya Deol, had to convince him hard to at least go sleeveless in Soldier (1998) Bobby Deol took the hot seat and dished out one tasty treat after another for his fans to savour.
