Bigg Boss 12 contestants Anup Jalota and Jasleen Matharu had been the most talked about contestants. They entered the show together as a jodi. That season had the concept of singles Vs doubles. Anup Jalota and Jasleen Matharu entered as a teacher and student jodi but many later felt that they are actually a couple. Recently, Jasleen shared a wedding picture with Anup Jalota and fans speculated that they are getting married. However, those pictures were from the sets of their upcoming film, Woh Meri Student Hai. Jasleen's father Kesar Matharu did not like his daughter being linked with Anup Jalota. He said that this film is being made to clear the air that Anup Jalota and Jasleen Matharu are not in any romantic relationship. However, Anup Jalota in an interview with ETimes revealed that he agreed to do the film only to get money and not for what Kesar Matharu feels.
Anup Jalota said, "I have been paid very well to act in it. Jasleen's dad's thinking might be different, but I am clear that I am not doing this film to clear people's doubts. When I have not been in love with Jasleen, how can I marry her? And let people speculate whatever they want. I am not going to scream and drive my point home. So, I am clear that I have done this film to only earn good money. Anything wrong with that?" Anup Jalota was also asked if he felt that the film will do good in theatres. Anup Jalota said, "Why not? It has a good story. And let me also tell you that at no stage in the film have we had any track that Jasleen and my characters are having an affair and anybody is doubting it. So I really don't know why Mr Kesar Matharu holds a viewpoint that the film has been made to convey that Jasleen and I are not together."
Anup Jalota also spoke about Jasleen Matharu's relationship with Dr. Abhinit Gupta. He said, "That didn't work out. Their kundlis did not match." He also said that he spoke to Jasleen post her breakup with Abhinit and said that she was fine.
