After Sanjay Dutt beats Stage 4 lung cancer, close friend Paresh Ghelani aka Kamli calls him 'Destiny's Child'

Sanjay Dutt, who was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer, has announced that he has emerged victorious in his battle with the deadly disease. He was undergoing treatment for cancer at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. A family member had refuted the news reports of the actor 'having only a few months to live' saying that Dutt has responded very well to the treatment. And while the best wishing continue to pour in for Sanjay for overcoming another tragic event in his life, his close friend Paresh Ghelani, who inspired the character of Kamli (played by Vicky Kaushal) in Rajkumar Hirani's Sanju, has called him 'Destiny's Child.'

Sharing Sanjay Dutt's official statement on his Instagram stories, Paresh wrote, "Destiny's child. Wishing you lifetime of healthiest journey." Earlier, when the 61-year-old actor had announced in August that he was taking a break for his cancer treatment, Paresh had wrote on emotional note for his dear friend on his yet another battle.

"Brother @duttsanjay. Hard to imagine just few days ago we were talking about how we shall enjoy the next phase of our lives and we were talking about how we have been blessed to be able to ride, walk, jog, crawl, and enjoy the journey thus far; we are where we are. I still believe we are blessed and I know journey forward is going to be as beautiful and as colorful as it has been. God has been kind. nakupenda kaka!!" Paresh had written on his Instagram.

Calling him a tiger, Paresh had shared, "Thought we had covered the while amusement park; thought it was closed now, But I guess we are not done yet. Let's buckle up for an another roller coaster ride. Yet another battle has begun; Battle we must and the battle you will conquer... We know the braveheart you are; you will win this. Sher Hai Tu Sher!! Love you."

After beating cancer, Sanjay said in a statement, "The last few weeks were very difficult time for my family and me. But like they say, God gives the hardest battles to his strongest soldiers. And today, on the occasion of my kids' birthday, I am happy to come out victorious from this battle and be able to give them the best gift I can-the health and well-being of our family."

I am eternally grateful to my family, friends and all the fans who have stood by me and been my source of strength through this trying time. Thank you for the love, kindness and the countless blessings that you have sent my way."
