Yash Chopra’s 88th birth anniversary: From Rekha to Sridevi to Madhuri Dixit, the filmmaker presented his heroines like no other

If you ask any actress, whether she is upcoming or established, she would say that it's a dream and privilege to be a part of any YRF film. The credit for that mainly goes to Yash Chopra. He presented his heroines like no other. "God has made women beautiful. I respect all women. I don't see any 'badness' in them. I am doing my duty by making God's creations even more beautiful," said the director in a conversation with Shah Rukh Khan. It was perhaps this love for women which came out through his films and his women characters. On his 88th birth anniversary, here's a look at some of his heroines.

Preity Zinta Veer Zaara

Her character was very strong in this film that dealt with a love story involving India and Pakistan.

Rekha Silsila

Silsila dealt with infidelity and Rekha was superb in it. We can't forget how beautiful she looked in those sarees.

Sridevi Chandni and Lamhe

Sridevi was fantastic in both the films. Did you know that chiffon sarees became a rage after Sridevi wore them in the films?

Madhuri Dixit Dil To Pagal Hai

This film was about love that knows no boundaries. Madhuri Dixit played the role of Pooja and looked stunning in every frame.

Rani Mukerji Veer Zaara

Although she played a supporting role in the film, her character was the catalyst in Veer and Zaara's love story. She was great in the courtroom scenes.

Juhi Chawla Darr

Yash Chopra was known to make eternal love stories and even this was one but it had a violent side. Juhi played Kiran with whom Shah Rukh Khan's character was madly in love with.

Katrina Kaif Jab Tak Hai Jaan

While the film didn't get a great response, Katrina looked great. The film also starred Anushka Sharma.
