Karan Singh Grover and Surbhi Jyoti's crackling chemistry in Qubool Hai is still fresh in our minds. The show follows the story of Zoya who returns to Bhopal in search of her biological father. She meets Asad, a charming young man, she falls in love with him. Both the actors gave some brilliant performances and made us all fall in love with Asad Ahmed Khan and Zoya Farooqui. The show was a massive hit and there is no one who hated it. It won't be wrong to say that Karan Singh Grover and Surbhi Jyoti created magic on-screen. It is still the favourite of many and during the lockdown, the re-telecast of the show was a treat for fans. Now, as per reports Surbhi Jyoti and Karan Singh Grover are returning with a digital sequel to Qubool Hai. Qubool Hai 2.0 will be 12-13 episodes long and will stream on the OTT platform. The first season was directed and produced by Gul Khan who is also Surbhi Jyoti's good friend. However, the director-producer has said that she is not associated with season two now.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Gul Khan said, "The digital platform had approached us for this big unfortunately we could not find a common ground regarding this." Well, this surely is not a happy news for Qubool Hai fans. Gul Khan is known to create some magical pairs on-screens. Earlier, while the show was being re-run during the lockdown, Surbhi Jyoti had spoken about it in an interview with Pinkvilla. She had said, "It is very nostalgic because it was my first show and it was like a dream for me. It is very close to my heart and I love the show the most just because it was my first but it also happened to be an overnight hit. I was very overwhelmed when I did the show and I did not expect I will get so much of love from everyone you know because I was new and no one knew me back then while Karan Singh Grover was a rage back then, a heartthrob."
The original show also featured Mohit Sehgal, Amrapali Gupta, Alka Kaushal, Shalini Kapoor, Karanvir Bohra, Surbhi Chandna, Additi Gupta, and others. Karan Singh Grover was also replaced by Raquesh Bapat later in the show as Asad.
