In the year 1962, Lata Mangeshkar was rushed to the hospital. It seems she suffered from a bout of poisoning. She began recovering after 10 days. The singer was bedridden for three months. The police could not understand what happened. However, questions were raised about the cook who suddenly fled without even taking his payment.
Rich legacy
She is the most famous student of Mumbai's Bhendi Bazaar Gharana. But do you know that the gharana has links to the legendary Tansen? The founders of the Gharana learnt music from Inayat Hussain Khan who was a student of Bahadur Khan who was a student of Tansen from Akbar's Court.
