Indian Idol 12 has been the talk of the town for all wrong reasons. The show has been quite popular but recently is all surrounded by controversies. Due to the lockdown in Maharashtra, the team of Indian Idol 12 had shifted to Daman and we saw Vishal Dadlani has been missing from the show. He did not join the team at Daman. And now he has revealed that he is not returning to the show. In an interview with ETimes, Vishal Dadlani who has been the Indian Idol judge for over three seasons said that he is not coming back till the state unlocks.
He said, "Not till the quasi lockdown is done with." Aditya Narayan had spoken about Vishal's absence from the show. He had said that Vishal shifted to Lonavala last year and he has shifted with his parents. He didn't want to drive all the way from Lonavala to Daman and come back to potentially infect his parents as he is being extra careful because of his parents. Aditya also said that he completely supports Vishal's decision. The Indian Idol 12 host feels if you have doubt then you should go with your instincts especially during these times. Himesh Reshammiya and Neha Kakkar have been making guest appearances on their show. The team of Indian Idol 12 has shot enough content for one month and returned to Mumbai and are now waiting for the Maharashtra government to allow shooting.
The Amit Kumar episode of the show received a lot of negative response for the show. Kishore Kumar's son, Amit Kumar said that he was forced to give good comments to the performances even when he had not liked the show. Later Sunidhi Chauhan has revealed that she quit Indian Idol as a judge because the makers had asked her to praise contestants on the show.
