Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan are two of the most successful actors we have in India. They have given several hits over the years individually and were a part of Karan Arjun as well. While they share a good rapport now, it wasn't always the case. They fought at Katrina Kaif's birthday party back in 2008 and didn't speak to each other for years.
It became so bad that Radhe star Salman had said in an interview, "Only God can come and make us friends again, and that is not happening." Later on Aap Ki Adalat, he had said that the way they think doesn't match. He felt that SRK was wrong and SRK felt the same about him. "I have always loved Shah Rukh like a younger brother. Somewhere I am hurt," added Salman.
In 2011, Shah Rukh Khan had gone on record and admitted that he was not great at keeping friendships. On Koffee With Karan, the filmmaker had asked Shah Rukh Khan, "Do you think Salman Khan has a problem with you? Because you couldn't keep up with the friendship?"
The Pathan star had Shah Rukh had replied, "That's what I said. I can't keep friends. I don't know how to keep friends." He added that he would not like to blame anyone for disliking him. "I take all the credit for the fact that people love me. But if people dislike me, it has nothing to do with them. It's all on me," he had said.
He had added, "If Salman has an issue with me, 100 per cent I have let him down. Farah has an issue with me, 100 per cent I have let her down. If you (KJo) have an issue with me, then I have let you down. And I feel sad that I have let people down. The funny thing is as much as I know how to say sorry, I can't get myself to say sorry. And it has got nothing to do with you."
In 2013, the two superstars eventually patched up at Baba Siddiqui's Iftar party. Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan then starred together in Kabir Khan's Tubelight. They are now slated to unite on the screen once again, oops, twice, in Pathan and the third franchise of Tiger, which are both part of Yash Raj Films' spy universe.
