Of late, social media has been abuzz demanding arrest of celebrities who are allegedly make use of castiest slurs. After Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's Munmun Dutta and Bigg Boss contestant Yuvika Chaudhary, netizens are now demanding the arrest of Bollywood star Randeep Hooda. The outrage is over an old video of Randeeep Hooda from an event where he supposedly passed a joke on Uttar Pradesh CM Mayawati. The joke has now been termed as casteist, as well as, racist.
With this #ArrestRandeepHooda is trending on Twitter. Netizens are slamming the actor for passing comments over the appearance of Mayawati. Sharing the video, a netizen wrote, "The man earlier was held in high respect. But he is so deeply inhuman,sexist and of course casteist. The man must be taken to task." Another one wrote, "#ArrestRandeephooda It's not about dalit woman,Women should be respected irrespective of their caste or religion.Shame on you #RandeepHooda...you are accuesd of sexually abusing and castiesm." One more tweet criticising Randeep Hooda read, "How can anybody make such disgusting and discriminatory joke about a women who has been the chief minister for 4 times...he should be punished

While Munmun Dutta and Yuvika Chaudhary issued apologies after netizens called for their arrest, we wonder what would be Randeep Hooda's next step in this controversy. The actor is yet to make any statement regarding his remark, however, the momentum of #ArrestRandeepHooda is gaining pace.
On the work front, Randeep Hooda recently featured in Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. He shared the screen space with Salman Khan, Jackie Shroff, Disha Patani and others. The film released on OTT due to the pandemic yet it managed to grab attention of all. Next he has a film called Mard in his kitty. It will supposedly release in 2022.
