Veteran actor Randhir Kapoor is doing well now. He was admitted last week to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital after he got a fever. His COVID-19 report came out as positive. This was indeed worrisome for fans as he is a senior person, and already has some nerve-related health issue. But the good news is that he is recovering, and might get discharged in a couple of days. He told a leading daily, "I am recovering well and should be home soon." It seems he did not need any oxygen when he was hospitalised. Randhir Kapoor further said, "I was never breathless. I just had fever."
This COVID-19 is creating havoc everywhere. While we have seen people are ravaged in cities like Delhi and Noida, it has taken away luminaries from the world of entertainment as well. SP Balasubrahmanyam, Shravan Rathod and Bikramjeet Kanwarpal were taken away from us due to COVID-19. Randhir Kapoor has been going through a tough time as he lost both his brothers within a year. Rishi Kapoor died in April 2020 after battling blood cancer for a couple of years. The bigger tragedy was the sudden demise of his younger brother, Rajeev Kapoor. He passed away in February 2021 just before the delivery of Kareena Kapoor Khan's second child.
It seems Karisma Kapoor has been looking after her father in this period. In his interviews, Randhir Kapoor has spoken about how he did not need any friends when he had his brothers with him. He said their companionship was enough. He also praised the upbringing of his grandmother, Prithviraj Kapoor's wife and his mom, Krishna who encouraged a sense of togetherness. He said money was never ever a cause for friction. Randhir Kapoor said that they were taught to love the children of the family equally. As of now, only his sister Rima Jain is alive amongst his siblings.
