Emraan Hashmi, who had appeared in several films of the Bhatts, has opened up about Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt's split. In an interview to TOI, he said that he has many fond memories of Vishesh Films. He wished they all come back together to do a film. "I don't know what the subject will be, though. There was a report saying that Mahesh Bhatt was an Editorial Consultant in Vishesh Films. Talking about it Emraan said, "I don't really know where it's coming from. We have been quite busy with our own lives during the lockdown but yet kept in touch. We are family." He added that he had I spoke to Bhatt saab (Mahesh Bhatt) through the lockdown. "He is not only just a filmmaker for me but a wise man who has given me guidance. Things were getting confused during the lockdown and I needed his inputs on it," said Emraan.
In another interview to Bombay Times, he said that while Hindi cinema is his first love and will always be, he wants to explore something internationally. "I want a new journey and I want to try something outside the Indian market. That would be fun. In the next five years, I want to see that dream realised in some way," he stated.
He added that it has always been at the back of his to do something worth his while internationally. Eventually, he says that it all boils down to great stories. "If you do something for too long in the professional space, you tend to reach a saturation point, you get that been-there-done-that feeling."
