Parth Samthaan strongly REFUTES reports of Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 going off air because of him

In 2018, Ekta Kapoor brought a reboot of her 2001 hit TV show Kasautii Zindagii Kay. Parth Samthaan stepped into the role of Cezanne Khan's Anurag Basu while Erica Fernandes played Shweta Tiwari's Prerna. The TV show went off air last year just after the first lockdown was relaxed. It was stated that Parth wanted to leave the show and hence the TV Czarina pulled the plug eventually. It was also stated that he had a fallout with the producer too. However, the actor has denied all such reports stating that he wouldn't have been doing her web series if that had been the case. In an interview with Times of India, Parth Samthaan revealed that Ekta Kapoor has always been supportive of him.

Parth said, "All the reports of Kasautii Zindagii Kay wrapping up or shutting down because of me were absolutely wrong and baseless. It was not like that. It was an overall decision by the makers by the channel. Yes, I won't lie that I had reached a saturation point and I wanted to grow. The situation at that time was very difficult for all of us to work together. Not only on our show but other shows as well. Because the situation we all were in was not right everyone was in a panic mode. It was difficult at that point. Now, the situation has completely changed and if there were any rumours of me having a fallout with Ekta Kapoor ma'am, the answer is right in front of everyone that I am doing her web show and she really liked my work. She is very happy and actually praised my performance. I am very glad and grateful enough that she understood, and she took it very maturely and she was very sensible enough and I respect her for that. I am very thankful to her for that."

The actor also opened up on the time when he was tested positive for coronavirus after which the shoot of Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 had was halted. Recalling the tough times, he said, "It was very shocking how initially people were having a certain reaction towards me. But let's be practical, that time was very difficult and different for all of us. Let's face it it's not like we are unnecessarily overreacting to it. It was a panic situation and even the smallest thing would make people panic. Plus many of us were not aware about the facts of this virus back then. The dos and don'ts. Right now we are very well aware about it, we are educated and informed about the virus. There's an awareness about COVID-19 which was lacking at that time. It was a difficult phase. Fortunately for me, the COVID was not as serious as it was for others. I recovered very soon as I had mild symptoms and it was an experience all together. I learnt who the real people are who really care about me and there were so many people who stood and prayed for me. They gave lots of prayers, wishes and love to me. That is something that I acknowledge and feel blessed about."

Parth Samthaan lost his father last year. Talking about the same, he said, "Everyone wishes and wants that their parents should be around them always. But it's an unfortunate circumstance and your hands are tied, and nothing is in your control. Of course, I would love that my father would always be around me and I am sure he's watching me, he's proud, happy. I know he's seeing me that I am growing and he's happy that I am doing such good work. According to my mother, I am doing great work and one person who I can see visually is my mother. I am sure my dad would be proud of me."
