Namish Taneja recounts the pain of being separated from wife Aanchal Sharma in the middle of their Maldives vacation after testing positive for COVID-19

Swaragini and Aye Mere Humsafar actor Namish Taneja tested positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives. As of now, he is under resort quarantine. As we know, the resorts have made arrangements for guests who contract the virus. Namish Taneja narrated the ordeal of how his wife had to travel back to Mumbai. He informed his fans that he had tested positive on social media. He wrote, "Hi everyone. I have tested positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives. I am under resort quarantine. Followed all safety guidelines but ho gaya ab. Stay away from rumours. The virus is real and spreading all over. Please up your mask and sanitise your hands. Don't go out. Take care. Pray for me India se best koi country nahi. Jai Hind."

The Maldives has been accepting travellers from all over the globe. The couple went to the tropical paradise some days back. They were supposed to catch a flight back to Mumbai on April 12. He told ET, "Since we were supposed to leave after four days, on April 12, we again underwent the test. My tests were positive and thankfully Aanchal tested negative for the virus." It seems his wife was distraught at the thought of leaving him alone while she came back.

Namish Taneja has done a number of shows like Swaragini, Vidya and is seen on Aye Mere Humsafar. He further told ET, "I convinced Aanchal to go back to Mumbai. It was a heartbreaking moment for both of us, she was crying because she had to leave me alone. The saddest part was; we could not even hug each other before she left." He made his relationship official in 2019. It seems Aanchal Sharma and he have been together since 2019.
