A second COVID-19 wave. A mid-week release. Lockdown in effect in certain areas in Maharashtra and Punjab. Night curfew being implemented in more than a few areas. 50% occupancy still continuing in theatres across Maharashtra. In spite of all this, Godzilla vs. Kong has stormed the box office on day one, which happens to be a normal working Wednesday.

Bunty Aur Babli 2 postponed
Bunty Aur Babli 2 was slated to release on 23rd April, but given the seriousness of the 2nd wave of coronavirus across the country, and the new restrictions and lockdowns that are being implemented currently, Aditya Chopra wants to release the film in theatres at a more opportune time.
