Ever since KGF director Prashanth Neel has announced his next, Salaar with Prabhas, the masses have gone berserk. Such is the mania of Prabhas fans. However, due credit goes to the director too for giving the Indian audience a super hit film in terms of KGF. Talking about Salaar, every now and then there are some reports that get us excited about the film. Now, we hear there would be a special song sequence in the film. Prabhas would be featuring in it alongside none other than KGF: Chapter 1 actress Srinidhi Shetty. Yes, you read that right. The actress has been on the radar of the filmmakers post her stint in the Yash starrer. And as per the latest reports, the makers of Salaar have approached Srinidhi to shake a leg in the film alongside Prabhas.
It is being said that a special set will be built for the song sequence. Srinidhi Shetty had earlier expressed her desire to work with the massy star. And now the reports state that she seemed to have liked the concept of the song. However, her nod is yet to be confirmed. Meanwhile, on 28th January 2021, on her birthday, Prabhas revealed that Salaar will have Shruti Haasan as its female lead. The shooting commenced soon after and reportedly they have wrapped the first schedule of the film as well. Salaar's first schedule was shot in Godavarikhani, Telangana. Though the makers have shared posters of Salaar, they kept his look under the wraps.
"I'm really glad to be working with Prabhas as I haven't before! He's a really warm and dedicated person and it's a lot of good energy," Shruti Haasan told ETimes. When asked about her role in Salaar, the actress shared that she could not divulge details but promised that it's something unique and different from her other words. "2021 is a very jam packed year for me already and my plan is to work hard and be as creative as I can be in all my endeavours. I can't say much about my role in 'Salaar' but it's unique in comparison to what I've done before and I'm excited to play the character the director has etched out," Shruti Haasan added.
Salaar is scheduled for an April 2022 release.
