Famous Brit morning host Piers Morgan has quit his job at ITV after facing backlash for his comments on Meghan Markle. He had said that he does not believe what she had said about the royal family. In one of his tweets, he referred to Meghan as 'Princess Pinocchio'. He said that he was entitled to freedom of speech and would not compromise on that. He tweeted, "On Monday, I said I didn't believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview. I've had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still don't. If you did, OK. Freedom of speech is a hill I'm happy to die on. Thanks for all the love, and hate. I'm off to spend more time with my opinions."

On the show, he has raised his doubts on what she spoke about mental health and how the royal family discussed the skin tone of her unborn baby. His colleague on the show, Alex Beresford had a huge argument with him. It seems Piers Morgan stormed off the studio when he was called diabolical. It seems Piers Morgan and Meghan Markle had kind of struck a friendship in 2015. At first, they would have conversations on social media. Later, he spoke about how they were supposed to meet for drinks but she ghosted on him. It was later said that she went on a date with Prince Harry.
Piers Morgan has found support from the likes of Sharon Osbourne. He was initially in support of the lady after her wedding to Prince Harry but things changed later on.
