We all know the fact that South beauty turned national crush Rashmika Mandanna will make her Hindi film debut opposite Sidharth Malhotra in Mission Majnu. The filming began in Lucknow a couple of days ago. Rashmika is totally new to the Hindi film shooting style but has already won hearts on the sets. Yes, you read that right. The Geetha Govindam actress has won over everyone with her dedication and charm. A source close to the development of the film revealed that Rashmika Mandanna broke the ice with everyone on sets on the first day itself and since then there's been no stopping to the goofball of energy. "On the first day itself, Rashmika broke the ice around her. Even though she was working with a new team, she made everyone comfortable in her company. She is a ball of energy on the sets, and everyone is very fond of her," a source revealed, reports ETimes.
The source also added that Rashmika Mandanna has totally sunk into her character. So much so that the actress is now referred by her character name on the sets rather than her real name. Yes, Rashmika's dedication level has got us super excited. "The cast and crew on sets also refer to her by her character's name which is hardly the case on any set. It is commendable how she has completely read the skin of her character right," the source revealed, reported ETimes.
Meanwhile, a source close to the development of Mission Majnu had earlier revealed to BollywoodLife.com that noted Indian film actor and 5-time National Award winner, Prakash Raj has been approached to play the main villain in the movie. Talking about Mission Manju, the Sidharth Malhotra starrer film tells the tale of a covert operation that is set in the 70s-80s era. Sidharth Malhotra plays a spy in the film. Mission Majnu will also tell how the covert operation affected the bond between India and Pakistan. Shantanu Baagchi is directing Mission Majnu. Ronnie Screwvala is producing the film alongside Amar Butala and Garima Mehta. Apart from Rashmika Mandanna and Sidharth Malhotra, Mission Majnu also stars Kumud Mishra and Sharib Hashmi.
