Popular composer and singer Anu Malik, who opted out of Indian Idol 11 as a judge after being accused of #MeToo, is reportedly making a comeback in the 12th season but as a guest. He will be gracing the stage along with singer Udit Narayan and lyricist Sameer in the 90s special episode. As per the E Times report, a source said, "It is a 90s music weekend episode. Anu Malik composed music for many films in the 90s and his songs were chartbusters. A 90s episode is not possible without Anu Malik so we decided to have him as a guest on the show along with lyricist Sameer and singer Udit Narayan, who rocked the 90s music scene."
Thank you to all the women & men & the media of India who supported our campaign #MoveOutMalik . A repeat offender like Anu Malik on national tv triggered a lot of trauma, pain & stress in many of our lives. I have been ill for a while & I hope to sleep well tonight. ??

Earlier, Anu Malik during the launch of his song Monday opened up about the phase of being out of work due to the #MeToo episode. "It came out of my pain of having work once upon a time and suddenly being out of work for no rhyme or reason. I always viewed life in a different way. For example, when I was flooded with offers and I was on radio, on television or giving music in films, I had so much work that I didn't know when morning came and when night came. Suddenly, one day I find no producers or television shows; I was just sitting at home," Malik had said.
