Filmfare Awards 2021: Farah Khan remembers Sushant Singh Rajput after winning Best Choreography award for Dil Bechara

Last night, the 66th Filmfare Awards 2021 took place. The award for the Best Choreography went to Farah Khan for Dil Bechara. It was for the title song, which was shot in one take. She dedicated the award to late Sushant Singh Rajput. Farah Khan posted a picture on social media. She wrote on Instagram, "This one's special.. my 7th @filmfareaward for #DilBechara .. my only song with @sushantsinghrajput who turned my good choreography into an exceptional song with his ease.. bittersweet feelings while accepting this today.. thank u my bhai Mukesh @castingchhabra I thought im doing u a favour but clearly it was the opposite."

Farah Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput were good friends since years. He would even attend parties at her place. But they never did a song together. Farah Khan had spoken of how Sushant Singh Rajput was even better than the contestants on Lip Sync Battle. He had come for a special tribute episode to Shah Rukh Khan on Diwali. Mukesh Chhabra had asked Farah Khan to choreograph one song as Dil Bechara was his debut, and a special film. It seems she did not even charge for it.

Farah Khan was extremely upset at the disgusting media circus that happened just after the death of the actor. It was one of the most shameless things we saw on national news channel. All limits of decorum were shattered in the quest for TRPs. She had lashed out on social media telling people to respect the moment of grief and shock for loved ones. Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging at his residence in Bandra on June 14, 2020. As of now, the CBI is investigating the circumstances into the demise of the actor. The NCB is conducting a parallel investigation.
