After the roaring success of Nerkonda Paarvai, Thala Ajith is currently busy with the shooting of Valimai, which is expected to be high on stunts and action. While the fans are more than excited for this venture, the latest reports suggest that director H Vinoth and producer and Boney Kapoor are collaborating for the third time with the megastar for Thala 61. As per the PinkVilla report, a source close to the development said, "Ajith has a three-film deal with Boney Kapoor and the duo have already started discussing their third consecutive collaboration. Thala Ajith has found a comfort zone in working with director H.Vinoth and Boney Kapoor, and hence, they are all gearing up for a hat-trick now. If everything goes as planned, the film in question well might be Thala 61. The actor is very happy with the way Valimai has shaped up, which has resulted in him already discussing another collaboration."
The source added, "Thala Ajith has a rule of deciding on his next film only closer to the release of his earlier commitments, and he will be following the same this time around as well, going ahead with his script selection. But among all the films offered to him, the H.Vinoth film is currently in the front runner of being Thala 61 and if things go as planned, it will begin in second half of 2021."
Producer Boney Kapoor recently spoke about theatres functioning at 100 per cent capacity and said, "With a lot of businesses now working at full capacity, theatres at full capacity is great news for the entire entertainment sector. At the same time, I urge all exhibitors to provide the maximum safety and hygiene to the audience as it's always health first. I hope that the exhibitors, especially single screens, will get a lot of big films soon to be able to garner the footfalls again. I do believe that big films will release soon in theaters. Three of my films across different languages, Vakeel Saab (Telugu), Valimai (Tamil) and Maidaan (Hindi), will release in theatres. All three are stories which transcend language barriers."
