It doesn't look like fortune is smiling currently on Prabhas or at least on the safety of the movies he's assocciated with. A day after the set of Adipurush, costarring Saif Ali Khan and directed by Om Raut of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, was engulfed in a major fire on the first day of shoot itself, reports have streamed in that a van carrying a team of Salaar, another upcoming mega-budget project of the superstar, has met with a serious road accident, having collided head on with a truck.
We neither know as of now whether Prabhas, Salaar's leading lady, Shruti Haasan, or Director Prashanth Neel of KGF fame were travelling in the fan nor do we have any word on the identity of any of the van's occupants. It's as yet also unconfirmed whether any of the occupants of either the van or truck have suffered any grave physical injuries, internal or external. The team was reportedly returning to their hotel after completing the day's shoot. For the uninitiated, the cast and crew of Salaar began shooting for the film a couple of days ago.
A few days earlier, Shruti Haasan had jubilantly opened up on coming on board as the lead actress of Salaar in an interview with Bombay Times, where she said, "I'm super excited to be a part of this project. It's a great team and I'm looking forward to working with Prabhas as well. As always, what drew me to the role was the character I get to portray. Her flow in the larger narrative is interesting and I'm excited to bring her to life."
As of now, all we can do is hope and pray that all those involved in the unfortunate incident are safe and healthy.
