However, news of the coupled breaking up last month, January 2021, took everyone by surprise, and left their fans and well-wishers, rooting for them to blossom into one of tinsel town's, majorly disappointed.
That being said, a source close to both Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas has disclosed that they split amicably and are still pretty cordial to each other, besides staying in touch, which means that the possibility of them patching things up can't be ruled out. "For now, he's taking care of himself and focused on his kids. Ben and Ana still text regularly and communicate, so who knows what the future will hold for them," revealed the source to People magazine.
The same source also told People magazine the reason behind Ben and Ana's breakup. "Ana broke it off becauseheir relationship was complicated. Ana doesn't want to be Los Angeles-based and Ben, obviously, has to since his kids live in Los Angeles. So, Ben is no longer dating Ana," continued the insider
Opening up on how Ben Affleck's ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, has been extremely supportive and helped keep his spirits up, the industry insider added, "Ben is happy, healthy and doing great since his breakup with Ana. Ben's friends and Jen Garner are supportive of him moving on. Those close to Ben thought the relationship knew that it wasn't working for either of them anymore."
Ben Affleck and actress Ana de Armas had met in late 2019 on the set of their upcoming psychological thriller, costarring Finn Wittrock and Jacob Elordi, Deep Water, directed by Adrian Lyne of Fatal Attraction, Jacob's Ladder and Unfaithful fame.
