Popular south actress Srinidhi Shetty, who portrayed the character of Reena in Yash starrer KGF: Chapter 1, will reprise her role as Rocky Bhai's love interest in the second part. While KGF 2 is one highly-anticipated films, Srinidhi revealed that she rejected as far as 7 films to star in the film. Talking to TOI, she said, "After the thunderous reception for the first part of KGF, the makers wanted to start the second chapter early than actually planned. Several filmmakers approached me to be a part of their projects which would require dates during the months of June and October. So, I had to drop them with no option left."
She added, "I would have dropped at least three films in Kannada, two in Tamil and Two in Telugu." Raveena Tandon, who plays the character of a politician in the film, recently revealed details about her character and said, "I am playing a politician, a strong character. She is the hero as well as the villain of the film, with a very interesting story arc." The Hindi version of the film is presented by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment. In a recent statement, Rocky Bhai aka Yash said, "KGF 2 is going to be massive. If you've seen KGF 1, you'll have an idea of what kind of movie it is KGF 2 will be five-folds of KGF 1!" While the film was scheduled to release in 2020, it got delayed due to the pandemic crisis of COVID-19.
