Reports of Kangana Ranaut being summoned by the Mumbai court has taken over the internet. The Panga actress has been summoned in connection with the defamation case filed by veteran writer and lyricist, Javed Akhtar. Upon seeing the news reports, Kangana Ranaut took to her Twitter handle and reacted to the same. "Geedaron ka ek jhund aur ek sherni .... mazaa aayega (A pack of jackals and a lioness this will be fun)," Kangana Ranaut wrote while sharing the tweet by Live Law India. Check it out below:

In November 2020, Javed Akhtar filed a case against Kangana Ranaut at the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate seeking action against the Manikarnika actress under the relevant provisions of the IPC for defamation. The complainant in his complaint states that Kangana has made some baseless allegations against him and has caused damage to his reputation. It added that Ranaut dragged Akhtar''s name while referring to a "coterie" existing in Bollywood following the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June. She had also claimed that Akhtar had threatened her to not speak about her alleged relationship with actor Hrithik Roshan, it said.
Kangana Ranaut had earlier accused Javed Akhtar of threatening her. In an interview with Pinkvilla, she had said, "Once Javed Akhtar had called me to his house and told me that Rakesh Roshan and his family are very big people. If you don't apologise to them, you will have nowhere to go. They will put you in jail, and eventually, the only path would be that of destruction you will commit suicide. These were his words. Why did he think if I don't apologise to Hrithik Roshan, I would have to commit suicide? He shouted and yelled at me. I was shaking in his house."
