Adipurush has been in the news ever since its announcement, and rightly so. It's another big-budget multilingual starring Baahubali Prabhas; it's directed by Om Raut who made a blockbuster debut with the epic, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior; and it reunites Saif Ali Khan with his Tanhaji Director in another role that promises to be as sinfully wicked as only Saif can play it. In short, it wouldn't be a stretch to cite Adipurush as one of the most anticipated movies, and to drive your excitement further, we've got some great news coming in from the team. It has been announced that the Prabhas-Saif Ali Khan starrer has gone on floors from today, which means the wheels have begun churning to get the film in the theatres as per schedule.
Declaring the good news, Prabhas took to his official Instagram handle and wrote: "#Adipurush aarambh. #SaifAliKhan @omraut #BhushanKumar @vfxwaala @rajeshnair29 @tseriesfilms @retrophiles1 @tseries.official #TSeries ," whicke sharing a picture that displayed the word 'Aarambh' (begins) below the title logo of Adipurush. Opening up about casting Prabhas, Director OM Raut has earlier revealed PTI, "I think Prabhas is just perfect. His entire persona, the calmness that he has. His eyes are so deep, his stance, the way he carries himself, his entire personality. I could see Adipurush in him and if it wasn't him, I wouldn't have made the film."
Disclosing what can be expected from Adipurush, producer Prasad Sutar had earlier said in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, "High-end visual effects combined with real-time technology is commonly used in international films and this always helps filmmakers narrate their story. To create the world of Adipurush and to tell the epic tale, we are bringing together the same. Adipurush is a huge mission for all of us and we are looking forward to embarking on this journey with Bhushan Kumar."
On the other hand, Prabhas himself had spoken about his role in a statement that read: "Every role and every character comes with its own challenges but portraying a character like this comes with tremendous responsibility and pride. I am very excited to portray this character of our epic, especially the way Om Raut has designed it. I am sure the youth of our country will shower all their love on our film."
Adipurush will be shot in Hindi and Telugu and will release in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada besides the aforementioned languages. It's slated to hit screens on 11th August 2022.
