Throwback Thursday: When Emraan Hashmi had said, ‘I don`t make films to make money’

For many actors, money is the biggest motivation. But Emraan Hashmi is not like them. In a past interview, he had said that he didn't do films to make money.

"I don`t make films to make money, I make films to be able to make more films, so when a film of mine is a hit, it buys me more time in the industry, that`s how I look at it. All of us just try to stay afloat in the industry," the actor had told IANS.

It makes sense, right? If your films are hits, you keep getting more films and the cycle continues.

Talking to Filmfare, the actor had said that he doesn't have any regrets. "I'm proud of whatever I have done. I don't have any regrets. What I'm today is because of certain films. I gained from that kind of cinema. There are many films, which you feel were not made for you or were not made as they should have been. But that's a learning process. How will you grow if you do not make mistakes? You have to do justice to whatever comes your way. You have to work hard and reinvent yourself."

He also said that he doesn't feel insecure because of competition. "I don't feel insecure ever because the industry is a big place. It always welcomes talent. Today so many new avenues have opened up. All kinds of films are being made. The medium doesn't matter. What matters is talent. If you have talent, you'll get opportunities. There's work for all. In fact, we should learn from the newcomers. They bring in fresh ideas," the actor had stated.

Well, whether you agree with the actor or not, he seems really genuine in his interviews.
