Kangana Ranaut attacks Kamal Haasan for looking at housework as a salaried profession; says, 'Don’t put a price tag on sex we have with love'

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who is currently grabbing headlines for her controversial tweets, has attacked actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan for his idea of recognising housework as a salaried profession. While MP Shashi Tharoor welcomed the decision of Ulganayagan and tweeted, "I welcome @ikamalhaasan's idea of recognising housework as a salaried profession, w/the state govt paying a monthly wage to homemakers. This will recognise & monetise the services of women homemakers in society, enhance their power& autonomy & create near-universal basic income."

Kangana Ranaut replied, "Don't put a price tag on sex we have with our love, don't pay us for mothering our own, we don't need salary for being the Queens of our own little kingdom our home, stop seeing everything as business. Surrender to your woman she needs all of you not just your love/respect/salary." She later shared a series of tweets on the same topic, which reads, "It will be worse to reduce a home owner to home employ, to give price tag to mothers sacrifices and life long unwavering commitment,It's like you want to pay God for this creation, cause you suddenly pity him for his efforts. It's partially painful and partially funny thought." followed by "How can one compensate for the lack of love/respect for home makers by giving them money? What if the oppressor snatches it and becomes more overpowering? People who treat their mothers or wives like house maids need value system and conscience that's why Dharma is the answer."

The actress will be next seen in Thalaivi, which is based on the life of actress and politician J Jayalalithaa. The actress gained Rs 20 kilos for her role in the film revealed her fitness trainer Yogesh Bhateja to BollywoodLife as he said, "For her role of Amma since Jayalalithaa ma'am was not leaner, Kangana Ranaut gained a lot. For her look in the movie, she almost gained 20 kgs. I actually tried to keep her a little active because when you gain 20 kgs, it's a burden on your joints and on your system. It also affects your breathing, sleeping pattern. It's like a 360-degree change of your body. So, I tried to keep her more active, more flexible and functional without losing weight as was required."

He added, "Gaining weight was not a task. But to gain it aesthetically so that you don't just gain weight on specific body part or out of shape was a little difficult. The task was to be in the shape but look bulky aesthetically." Sharing her thoughts on being Kangana Ranaut's trainer, he said, "She was very supportive and when I was training her, I felt like I am training an athlete. She is very active, very strong, focused and determined."
