Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain has been one of the most popular comedy shows. Recently, Saumya Tandon left the show and the makers have been searching for someone who could play Anita in the show. Earlier, there have been reports of Nehha Pendse doing the show but she had refused it. As per the ETimes reports, Nehha was the first choice for this role but at that time the deal didn't materialised and Saumya made an entry and now it seems the deal has been finally cracked and Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji actress will soon start the shooting of the show. Now, Nehha Pendse has opened up about replacing Saumya Tandon as Anita in the show. In an interview with ETimes, she spoke about taking up Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain amidst coronavirus scare and why she had rejected it earlier.
Nehha Pendse said, "Yes I am doing 'Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain', but the fear is less now. Till September, there was a fear of the unknown. We didn't know how to handle it, unlike now. Even Shardul had said I should take up something only if the opportunity was worth giving my life for. Today, India is doing well in terms of numbers and the herd immunity is increasing. Iske aage if I fear and sit at home, I would be a coward. The vaccines are also round the corner. Also, I visited the set once and the sanitisation and hygiene is to be seen to be believed. The producers, Benaifer and Sanjay Kohli are very responsible people. I have worked with them before and have a very god bonding with them from the time I did 'May I Come In Madam?' for them. It is now a great opportunity to be a part of a show that people look forward to seeing." She also spoke about meeting Saumya Tandon earlier. She said, "Not personally, but I have worked with her in 'Comedy Circus'. However, I haven't interacted with her much."
Nehha Pendse celebrated her first wedding anniversary with Shardul Bayas. She spoke about her married life with him. She said, "Well, marriage under normal circumstances is a mixture of compromise, level and patience. But all of that is pushed to a higher level if you are under a never-seen-before lockdown in your first year itself. It was very challenging as a couple. To begin with our honeymoon got cancelled. Shardul and I have seen a tough phase together and sailed out fine. The lockdown helped us to know each other in the minutest manner." She also revealed that they were supposed to go to Japan in April.
