Varun Dhawan gives it back to a troll who doubted his COVID-19 tests; says, 'Wow ur so funny'

Varun Dhawan is not the one to be bothered by the trolling that happens on social media but this time around, it is a serious concern. The actor who was recently found positive for the novel coronavirus lost his cool and had given it back to a troll in a now-deleted Instagram post. Varun Dhawan had been shooting for his next, Jug Jugg Jeeyo in Chandigarh. The film also stars Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Kiara Advani and Youtuber Prajakta Kohli in key roles. The reports of the cast testing positive for the virus had surfaced a couple of days ago. Varun confirmed his results being positive in an Instagram post yesterday. And a social media enthusiast had commented on the Main Tera Hero actor's post asking him whether he really tested positive for COVID-19 or he's bluffing. "Bhai sahi mein hua hai na? Ya phir yahan bhi normal khaasi ki overacting kar raha hai (Brother, do you actually have it or are pretending that your normal cough is Covid-19)." An angry Varun had replied to him saying, "Wow ur so funny. What an amazing sense of humour you have. I hope you and your family don't have to suffer through this though they will have to suffer through your sad excuse of humour. Get well soon son." Though the post has been taken down, here's a snapshot of the same:

Varun deleted the post and shared a fresh picture with the same caption. It's a selfie in which we see that Varun's mane has grown up and we wonder if it's for Jug Jugg Jeeyo. "So as I returned to work in the pandemic era I have contracted #covid_19 All precautions were taken by the production but still nothing is certain in life especially not covid-19. So please be extra careful I believe I could have been more careful. I see the get well soon messages and my spirits are high taking each day at a time thank u," he captioned the post. Check it out below:

Apart from Varun Dhawan, Neetu Kapoor and director Raj Mehta also tested positive for coronavirus. The film marks Neetu Kapoor's comeback after about 7 years. She was last seen in Besharam alongside her actor-son, Ranbir Kapoor and her late-actor-husband, Rishi Kapoor. Anil Kapoor, on the other hand, was last seen in Malang this year. Meanwhile, Kiara Advani is gearing up for Indoo Ki Jawaani. Varun himself is gearing up for his next release, Coolie No. 1 alongside Sara Ali Khan.
