These past days we have been listening to sad news upon sad news. Another shocking news of the year is here. Bollywood and Bengali actress Arya Banerjee is found dead at her apartment in Kolkata. Reports state that she was just 33-year-old. She lived alone with her dog in a posh neighborhood in Kolkata. The cause of her demise is yet unknown and the police are investigating her death. The police officials informed that her screen name was Devdutta Banerjee and she was the daughter of late sitar maestro Nikhil Banerjee. As per the police report, her nose was bleeding and she had also committed. A lot of empty liquor bottles were found in her room, the officials said, reports Hindustan Times. Her body had been sent for post mortem as of now.
"Like every day her maid had come to work and when she didn't get any response, she alerted her neighbours and the police were informed. The house was locked from inside. The investigation is on," a senior officer said in a statement. Actress Bidita Bag mourned her demise in a heartfelt post. Sharing a few pictures of the actress, Bidita wrote, "Rest in peace Arya Banerjee... In my early modelling days...I shared room with her...for my very first outstation project...she was a senior and a very famous model in kolkata...She pampered me a lot during our shooting days..." The actress went on to talk about Arya saying, "She was the daughter of Sitar maestro Nikhil Banerjee. A very talented girl...who used to sing and dance like a rock-star... she amazed us with her acting and dancing stint in films like LSD, Dirty picture. will miss u forever. #aryabanerjee." She worked in The Dirty Picture alongside Vidya Balan, Emraan Hashmi to name a few. Her second Bollywood project was Love Sex Aur Dhoka.
