While we have missed many visual spectacles on the silver screen due to the pandemic crisis of COVID-19, several filmmakers took the digital route and made sure we enjoy some impeccable performances from our favourite actors. This year, we have witnessed superlative acts by a handful of stars and would like to know your opinion about who gave the performance of the year through our poll for the Best actor. Ajay Devgn - Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior
Ajay Devgn played the titular character in Om Raut's directorial venture, which turned out to be a blockbuster at the box office. Once again, with his intense act, the Singham star nailed his portrayal with superb dialogue delivery being one of the USPs.
Irrfan Khan - Angrezi Medium
The last screen appearance of Irrfan Khan was a treat for fans. While once again the versatile star showcased his acting mettle with ease and finesse, he was also provided with a great supporting cast led by Ranvir Shorey, Kiku Sharda, Radhika Madan, Kareeena Kapoor Khan, Deepak Dobriyal, Pankaj Tripathi and Dimple Kapadia.
Sushant Singh Rajput - Dil Bechara
Sushant Singh Rajput's Dil Bechara was the posthumous release of the lead star and it evoked bittersweet feelings for his fans to see him perform for the last time. While the film faltered in some places, it was SSR's moving and emotional act, which glued us to screen. The fine acts of Sanjana Sanghi, Saswata Chatterjee, Swastika Mukherjee and Sahid Vaid were also lauded by the audience.
Amitabh Bachchan - Gulabo Sitabo
Amitabh Bachchan collaborated with Ayushmann Khurrana for the first time in Shoojit Sircar's Gulabo Sitabo. While the audience loved the crazy camaraderie between the two stars, it was Big B's portrayal of Chunnan 'Mirza' Nawab, which won our hearts. The actor got into skin of the character and once again showed why he is known as the 'Superstar of the Millenium'.
Pankaj Tripathi - Ludo
After Life In A Metro, Anurag Basu once again came up with a film having multiple plotlines. titled Ludo, and just like the previous one, this time, too, he impressed us with his narrative skills. While the film featured an ensemble cast of Abhishek Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao, Aditya Roy Kapur, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra, it was Pankaj Tripathi who stole the show with his subtle yet impactful act, which was a treat to watch for viewers.
Bobby Deol - Class of 83
Bobby Deol got some of the best roles in 2020 and his character of Vijay Singh, the dean of a police academy, is one of them. The Housefull 4 star convincingly brought out every emotion and made the character relatable and believable.
