2020 has been a bad year. It won't be wrong to say that this was a negative year. We have all been through a lot and have struggled a lot. So many people lost their life this year. Many of our television celebrities have passed away this year leaving us all shocked. As the year ends, let us remember them.

Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke actor Sameer Sharma died of suicide by hanging himself at his home in Malad in August. He was 44 and had played played Shaurya Maheshwari in Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke.
Divya Bhatnagar
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress, Divya Bhatnagar passed away on December 7. It was known that the actress had been battling for life in the hospital after contracting Coronavirus. Certain media reports also stated that Divya had pneumonia as well. Her oxygen levels had dropped and she had been rushed to the hospital.
Ashiesh Roy
Popular TV Ashiesh Roy, who garnered popularity for his portrayal in Sasural Simar Ka and other shows, passed away due to kidney failure on November 24. Amit Behl of CINTAA confirmed the news.
Jagesh Mukati
Jagesh Mukati, who was seen in many television shows like Amita Ka Amit and Shree Ganesh, passed away on June 10.
Rajan Sehgal
Crime Patrol actor Ranjan Sehgal passed away on July 11. It is believed that he died due to multiple organ failure. He was 36 and was not keeping well since a long time. The actor was seen in shows like Gustakh Dil, Rishton Se Badi Pratha, Kuldeepak, and Savdhaan India.
Divvya Chouskey
Divvya Chouksey breathed her last due to cancer. She was just 29. The news was conveyed by her cousin, Amish Verma, on Facebook. Just hours before she passed away, Divvya wrote a message on her Insta stories, asking fans to pray for her easy passing. She wrote that she was on her deathbed and prayed for a life of no suffering. Divvya said that no words could suffice for how much she was suffering and told people that she loved them a lot.
Manmeet Grewal
Aadat Se Majboor actor Manmeet Grewal died of suicide after suffering from depression. Manmeet also was out of work since the lockdown was announced and had a lot of debts that were due and the toll was too much to bear, leading him to take such a drastic step. Manmeet's friend and producer, Manjit Singh Rajput, had also opened up on his suicide and revealed that he was facing financial issues.
Preksha Mehta
TV actress Preksha Mehta died of suicide in her home in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The young lady, aged just 25, had worked in shows like Crime Patrol, Laal Ishq and Meri Durga. She returned home to Indore from Mumbai as the lockdown set in. It seems she was depressed due to this lockdown and also because of losing out on work. As per reports, the indefinite delay had worsened her mental state. She ended her life by hanging herself from a fan in her room on May 25.
Sejal Sharma
Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji actress Sejal Sharma was found hanging in her flat at Mira Road on January 24. Sejal, who has been a part of popular TV show Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji, also left behind a suicide note. As per a report in Times of India, the Kashimiri police registered a case of accidental death. Several reports suggest that Sejal was going through a difficult time professionally and personally as her show had shut down leaving her without work.
Leena Archarya
Television actress Leena Acharya passed away in New Delhi on November 21. She succumbed to kidney failure. Leena had appeared in the web series Class Of 2020 and television shows like Seth Ji, Aap Ke Aa Jane Se and Meri Hanikarak Biwi among others.
Zarina Roshan Khan
Zarina Roshan Khan, who played an important role in Kumkum Bhagya, passed away at the age of 54. TV actress Sriti Jha, who has shared screen with her, was heartbroken while sharing the news on Instagram.
Sachin Kumar
Sachin Kumar, who is best remembered for his work on the show, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, passed away at his residence due to a cardiac arrest.
