Filmmaker Karthick Naren recently announced the leading lady of his next project with Dhanush, which is tentatively titled D43. Well, the actress is Rajinikanth costar from Petta Malavika Mohanan, who was also seen in Beyond the Clouds. Director officially announced this news on Twitter as he shared the picture and wrote, "Welcome to the team @MalavikaM_@dhanushkraja @gvprakash @SathyaJyothi_ #D43 #MalavikaJoinsD43." As per the reports, the Maari actor will portray the character of a journalist in the film.

Talking about it, director Ramanan told Cinema Express said, "We wanted the title and the first look to contrast. The film's story mostly happens over one night and it's all about how the leads get through a situation that they are caught in. We have infused a lot of music in the film, which will give it a different feel. The film has been shot in Vagamon and Chennai. We are in the last leg of shoot and will be wrapping up in another 10 days."
