After making headlines with her wedding on October 30, Kajal Aggarwal is now holidaying with her husband, Gautam Kitchlu, in Maldives. From posing against the backdrop of the azure blue waters of the Indian Ocean along with Gautam to flaunting her red dress, Kajal's pictures are surely a feast for the eyes. But did you know Kajal had one condition before she could tie the knot with Gautam.
By now, we all know that Kajal and Gautam had met through a common friend 8 years ago and their friendship turned into a strong relationship. In January, Gautam proposed to Kajal for marriage and met her parents in May and got engaged in June. However, Kajal, being a mischievous to-be-bride, had told Gautam that she won't get married to him unless he goes down on his knees.
"In a lighthearted moment, I forced him to go down on his knees after he spoke to my parents! I teased him by telling him that I won't get married to him unless he got down on your knees! (he did, of course!)" Kajal Aggarwal recollected the special moment in an interview with Brides Today.
Speaking about getting married in the time of COVID-19, Kajal said that they had to reduce the number of guests to be invited on the wedding but that didn't take away the joy of their marriage. She said that though it was a challenge, they got their every guest tested and put under quarantine.
Spilling out some details about their private wedding ceremonies, Kajal said, "There were lovely pujas to begin our festivities, and our very private Mehendi soir es made it all extremely special and memorable. We loved our smaller affairs like the Haldi, which had really sweet traditions like the ' Phoolon Ka Gehna' where my sister in law came and adorned me with flowers and Jewellery. Being the Punjabi homes that we are, we had a dhol party around it. We enjoyed our afterparty surrounded by our family and friends. It was a super-fun party, with great food and music."
