The web series, A Suitable Boy, directed by Mira Nair, which had release a few weeks ago on Netflix, is suddenly in the eye of a storm for allegedly promoting love jihad according to some of our politicians. Basically, a scene from the show, where a Hindu girl, Lata Mehra, played by Taniya Maniktala, kissing her Muslim boyfriend on the premises of a temple is suddenly going viral, and it has raised cries for boycotting Netflix on several social-media sites.
Sharing the video and calling for a boycott of the OTT platform on his official Twitter handle, BJP leader Gaurav Tiwari wrote: " 'A Suitable Boy' @NetflixIndia , ?
