Shaheer Sheikh is the audience's favourite actor. He has always won hearts and struck the chords of the audience's heartstring with his realistic portrayal of the characters. Currently, the actor is enjoying his popularity as Abir Rajvansh in Rajan Shahi's Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke. The show is coming to an end soon and the fans are devastated. They have even threatened to boycott the show if the channel and makers actually shut it down. They are not able to fathom the big decision. Moving on, Shaheer opened up on why he hadn't been taking up other projects alongside his TV show as his peers.
"I like to play one character at a time and that's why I haven't done anything on the digital platform yet. Now, I have not signed or given a commitment to any TV show, so, I will take up any exciting work which comes my way, which can be on a digital platform or it can be a film," Shaheer Sheikh told Spotboye.
While talking to the portal, the actor also revealed that he is open to playing a character with gray shades. "The only thing I keep in my mind while choosing a character for me is how exciting it is. I would also like to do a negative role if offered. Honestly, the actor feels content when he/she plays something which he hasn't done before. When you do something which is totally different from what you have done in your past. And that is reassuring yourself that you are not just playing yourself but a character," the actor added.
However, being the responsible artist he is, Shaheer wishes to give out a positive message to all his fans and the audience. "Even if I am doing a negative role, I want to inspire the people in the right way. I have turned down offers before which demanded me to do something which I personally don't believe in. So, even if I play a bad character, the journey has to be like where he gets punished for his wrongdoings. At the end of the day, people should get the message that if you do something wrong, it is not okay. As an actor, we have some responsibility. There are a lot of people who get inspired by us and it is our duty to give them the right message," the actor said before signing off.
No wonder why he has such a massive fanbase.
